Squadron 156 Parent Newsletter - May 2021

We continue to remobilize in California Wing. Although we have had a few growing pains as we discover how to conduct hybrid (in-person and virtual) meetings, I am profoundly grateful for both the imagination and patience of all of our members.

California Wing has remobilized to Phase 3. This means that we can finally schedule some of our most anticipated activities this summer. In the coming weeks, please monitor your inbox for opportunities to register for encampment, AESA, more orientation flights and Cyber Camp.

I continue to be energized by the progress made by your amazing cadets. We have some many cadets progressing through the program even under the challenges caused by COVID constraints. Thank you for your ongoing support of our cadets.

Squadron 156 Parent Newsletter - April 2021

Although the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact what we can do, there is tremendous hope that we are close to returning to normal. Because restrictions are being reduced, there are many activities planned that would not have been possible otherwise. Furthermore, the summer months are rapidly approaching, and this means some of the most exciting activities are coming soon.

With all the upcoming activities, please remember that CAP has a strong safety culture. We will be following strict protocols at the allowed in-person events and there are no mandatory in-person activities. I look forward to seeing you all ASAP.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Tri-Valley Composite Squadron 156.

Squadron 156 Parent Newsletter - March 2021

Things are starting to move rapidly from a mobilization standpoint and that means that we can plan many activities that we have been deferring. In this month’s newsletter and in the coming weeks, I will be sharing many activities including some that can be done in-person. Please know that if your family is not yet ready to begin attending these events that your cadet can opt-out of the activities.

The priority that our squadron has set for in-person activities is to create opportunities for cadets to fly. During the next month, scheduling will be a little irregular as we try to organize pilots, planes, and cadets to take orientation flights.

Other upcoming activities are the Integrated Leadership Program Courses described in page 3. These courses will be conducted virtually but will be tremendously useful to prepare our cadets to resume in-person meetings and to understand how CAP works in the in-person world.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Tri-Valley Composite Squadron 156
